You will bring rigor to how we test, verify, and define the operational limits of our locomotion system, enabling the team to develop and release new capabilities with confidence. The role involves building trustworthy system-level test coverage across the locomotion, software, and mechatronics stack, and helping define the Operational Design Domain that governs where and how our robots are validated to operate. You should enjoy hands-on work with physical robots, translating real-world field behavior into reproducible tests and simulation scenarios, and building test infrastructure that the team can rely on for years. You will design, write, and maintain test code (primarily in Python), work with Linux and ROS/ROS2, and collaborate with software, controls, hardware, and field engineering teams to improve reliability and release readiness. The position sits at the intersection of systems engineering, test automation, and robotics, covering the full lifecycle from defining limits to certification testing and production deployments in demanding industrial environments.
