Overview: Amentum is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Houston, Texas. The Project Manager will lead a capable, cooperative team responsible for the development, manufacturing, testing, certification, and sustainment of major Government Furnished Equipment end items and Artemis spaceflight projects. You will direct matrix organizations in requirements development, design, manufacturing, testing, and certification of flight hardware, and mentor Project Engineers to improve performance. Responsibilities include building and leading cross-functional teams for hardware and software development, planning and executing hardware troubleshooting, reviewing results from engineering tasks, applying project management processes, analyzing problems with engineering techniques, defining and mitigating project risks, establishing a healthy project environment, fostering strong customer relationships, coordinating flight hardware and software development through design, procurement, fabrication, testing, data analysis, certification, and flight/mission delivery, and performing other duties as required. Qualifications include typically a bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5–10 years of related experience, knowledge of spaceflight hardware development and certification processes, ability to organize and prioritize tasks, cost and schedule estimating, risk management, excellent written and verbal communications, and close coordination with NASA Project Managers and ISS/Orion program representatives.
