Cabot Properties is seeking a Portfolio Accountant Intern in our Boston, MA office. The intern will partner with the Fund Accounting team on special projects and process improvement initiatives, support automation efforts within accounting processes, and contribute to ad hoc analyses. Responsibilities include assisting with the monthly close process, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting elements of the accounts payable and cash management cycles. The role also involves documenting accounting procedures and internal controls, participating in team meetings, and gaining exposure to real estate investment structures and fund operations. Qualifications include pursuing a degree in Accounting; proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis or modeling a plus); strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively; self-motivation with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; and a professional approach with strict confidentiality as required. Work Environment: Internship conducted primarily in a professional office setting with frequent computer use. Limited travel may be required for property site visits or team meetings.
