About the role

The Hilb Group is seeking a motivated Personal Lines Account Manager to join our agency located in Barrington, RI or Middletown, RI. This is an in-office position for a candidate who is organized, customer-focused, and able to work well in a team environment.

Qualifications:

Proactively manage an assigned book of business as the primary client relationship manager, handling account servicing and maintenance.
Respond to inquiries regarding insurance coverages, policy changes, and general questions related to property & casualty lines of business.
Process billing, service requests, endorsements, and complete necessary paperwork for requested actions.
Act as a liaison between the client and carriers to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship.
Manage renewal/expiration activity for the assigned book of business, review loss information, obtain updated information, process renewal applications, and negotiate renewal pricing when necessary.
Maintain knowledge of company systems and offerings.
High School diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales in the P&C insurance industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills via phone or email.
Superior listening skills and ability to identify customer needs through question-based selling and retention techniques.
Self-directed with good decision-making and time-management skills.
Proficient with PC software; knowledge of insurance software including AMS360.
