UPS is seeking a Mainframe Software Development and Quality Engineer for an on-site role in Püttlingen, Germany. The successful candidate will participate in the full systems life cycle for mainframe applications, including analyses, design, coding, testing, and deployment, and will collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure project success. Responsibilities include developing and executing test plans for mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS; performing functional, regression, and integration testing of CICS transactions; defect management; backend testing with SQL; API and Web Services testing; and hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber. The role also requires test data design, use of tools such as PostMan, SOAP UI, WinSCP, Oracle, Jenkins, GitHub, and AppDynamics, and adherence to Agile testing and Continuous Testing practices. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree (or international equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
