Collective is seeking a Lead Product Designer (individual contributor) to own the end-to-end design of our Accounting & Payroll experiences—the most complex and high-stakes workflows for our solopreneur members. You will partner with the Product Lead and Engineering to turn messy financial workflows into experiences that feel clear, trustworthy and fast. You will own the work end-to-end, help shape how we design and grow the design function, and ship daily to solopreneurs who gain time back as a result. Responsibilities include deeply understanding customer needs, business objectives, and industry trends to imagine and deliver paradigm-changing experiences; establishing a high bar for visual polish and intuitive interaction; clearly defining problems and exploring broad-to-narrow solutions; ideating, designing, launching, and iterating on products to advance Collective’s mission. You will collaborate with a cross-functional product development team (product managers, engineers, designers, operations, sales & marketing) to ship innovative and well-crafted experiences at scale; optimize for execution velocity while maintaining a high quality bar, and balance design tradeoffs with available resources. You will contribute to growing a robust design system.
