Junior Infrastructure Engineer (Operating Systems) based in Katowice, Poland. Sopra Steria Polska is supporting a French telecommunications client. Responsibilities include administering Linux and Windows server environments, monitoring infrastructure and applications for availability, performance and stability, incident and problem management (2nd line support) including troubleshooting and root cause analysis, supporting Kubernetes based environments and containerized applications, and participating in on call duties and shift-based support with collaboration with French-speaking stakeholders. Qualifications include 1-2+ years of commercial experience in a similar infrastructure, systems administration or technical support role; strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems including administration and troubleshooting; experience with application administration and application support; basic knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments; hands on experience in application monitoring, log analysis and incident management; very good command of French (min B2) and English with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment; willingness to participate in on call duties and support activities outside standard business hours; availability to work in shifts 7:00 to 19:00; strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams; ability to document processes, procedures and technical solutions while sharing knowledge with team members; proactive, detail oriented and eager to learn new technologies.
