Help Desk Support Service Specialist – Intermediate is a position with GDIT requiring TS/SCI clearance. On-site daily at Fort Meade, Maryland, you will provide second-tier end-user support for PCs, servers, mainframe applications, and hardware. You will collaborate with network services, software systems engineering, and applications development to restore service and identify root causes. You will simulate user problems, resolve incidents, and recommend system modifications to reduce future issues. You will perform Level I/II Active Directory tasks (unlocking accounts, creating and issuing accounts), image computers and configure BIOS (SCCM / PXE Boot), and apply STIGs and IAVA. The role requires DoD 8570.01-M IAT II/8140 CE certification as determined by the Program Manager, IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification (Security+ or equivalent), and computing environment credentials (MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent) with AZ-104 to be obtained within 180 days. Other requirements include on-site daily support, willingness to obtain a CI Polygraph for certain positions, potential lifting of IT hardware, and 10-25% travel. Education: Associate degree or 2 years of related experience in lieu of degree. Experience: 5+ years of related experience, with at least 2 years of specialized experience in IT support. This role supports Army Intelligence mission systems in a secure government environment.
