Thomas Mechanical & Fire Protection is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Designer & Project Manager to join our team. This dual-role position involves designing code-compliant fire sprinkler systems and managing projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Design fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, AutoSprink, or similar software.
Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
Prepare submittals, fabrication lists, and installation drawings.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and general contractors during the design process.
Stay current with code changes and emerging technologies in fire protection.
Manage all phases of fire sprinkler projects from bid through close-out.
Coordinate scheduling, materials procurement, and labor resources.
Provide regular updates to executives, project managers, and foremen; monitor budgets, timelines, and profitability.
Communicate with clients and stakeholders; resolve issues promptly.
Ensure adherence to safety standards and company protocols on job sites.
2+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design and/or project management.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoSprink, or other fire protection design software.
Experience with BIM c
