DKB AG is looking for a DevOps Engineer to develop and operate our AWS-based cloud platform with a focus on stability, scalability, and security. The role involves operating and optimizing our Kubernetes/EKS environment, building and maintaining reusable CI/CD components with GitLab CI/CD, and designing GitOps-based deployment processes using Flux, Helm, and Kustomize. You will automate infrastructure and AWS resources with Terraform and Crossplane, manage secrets securely with SOPS and AWS KMS, and improve monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch. You will analyze and resolve issues across CI/CD, Kubernetes, GitOps, and cloud environments, and enable development and project teams to manage deployments, platform usage, and CI/CD processes independently. Required qualifications include hands-on DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE experience; strong AWS skills (especially EKS, IAM/IRSA, S3, KMS, RDS/Aurora) and networking; production Kubernetes experience; CI/CD experience (GitLab CI/CD) and reusable pipeline templates; understanding of GitOps concepts and tools (Flux, Helm, Kustomize); practical IaC experience with Terraform and/or Crossplane; solid monitoring, observability, alerting and performance optimization skills; and strong communication in German and English (C1 level or above is ideal). Nice-to-have items include experience in regulated environments, on-call or runbooks, and certifications such as CKA or AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
