Data Scientist I provides data science, statistical, and advanced analytical support to CDC programs. This role focuses on extracting knowledge from structured and unstructured public health data to support analysis, surveillance, improved understanding, visualization, health services delivery, and data-driven decision-making. The Data Scientist I develops, implements, and monitors analytic, computational, and predictive modeling tools and applies machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to public health data. The position works with data from multiple surveillance systems and collaborates with Data Engineering, Product Management, User Experience, subject-matter experts, and other business units to develop innovative data science solutions. This is an onsite role based in Atlanta, GA, working five days a week.
