Leidos UK & EUROPE is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to deliver cybersecurity engineering services for classified and unclassified networks in a hybrid role based in Farnborough, United Kingdom (with potential openings in Bristol or Whiteley). The role involves developing secure engineering solutions, maintaining the security posture against baseline requirements, coordinating with the Security Monitoring team to forward logs to SIEM, and collaborating with customers and agencies to develop policies, processes, and technical designs. Responsibilities include assessing system vulnerabilities, implementing risk mitigation strategies, validating secure systems, and supporting security enforcement across environments. Required experience includes MOD or Home Office project environments, strong knowledge of network and system security, hands-on experience with Trellix, Ivanti, ClearSwift and Yubikey, IAM and secure coding practices, incident detection and response in MOD environments, security compliance frameworks, and Kubernetes administration. Desirable skills include container security, cloud security, DevSecOps, IaC security, automation, scripting, and secure CI/CD pipelines.
