Augusta Distillery is seeking a Controller to provide comprehensive financial and accounting support for a fast-growing Kentucky bourbon producer. The role combines accounting and analytical responsibilities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports, conduct cash flow analysis, create detailed financial projections, and manage cost and manufacturing accounting. Key duties include preparing and reviewing GAAP-compliant financial statements, developing forecasting models, coordinating with an outside CPA for tax returns and year-end reviews, maintaining the general ledger and fixed asset ledgers, and overseeing budgeting, cost accounting, and internal controls. The Controller will oversee accounts payable and receivable, manage cash flow, and provide ad-hoc analyses and leadership to junior staff. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 6 years of experience, CPA preferred, proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel, and strong communication skills. This is a remote position with a preference for proximity to Augusta, Kentucky.
