The position may require deployments outside the region at least once per year to support disaster relief operations. Deployments contribute to skill building and career development. Some allowances may be provided for personal circumstances and local response activity. All team members must meet training and physical requirements for deployment.
Key Responsibilities: - Empower Volunteers: Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for implementing volunteer-led disaster cycle services across the assigned geographic area, including mass care, response, community preparedness, recovery, and planning and readiness. - Lead the Program: Implement disaster cycle services activities within the geographic area or functional activities within the region. - Mission Capacity Building: Develop and support disaster volunteers who represent the communities they serve, culturally and linguistically; cultivate Disaster Leadership Volunteers. - Engage Community: Lead and coordinate efforts to prepare and mobilize communities and engage partners with specialized expertise to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies. - Manage in a Matrix: Build rel
