The role involves analyzing business needs and translating them into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures. The Cloud Architect will collaborate with development teams, system administrators, and executives to ensure effective cloud integration and deployment strategies. Responsibilities include creating cloud governance frameworks and best practices to ensure compliance and optimal performance, and staying current with emerging cloud technologies and trends to continuously enhance the organization's cloud capabilities.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree or industry certifications (for example, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) are preferred. Applicants should have extensive experience in cloud computing architecture and design, with a deep understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. At least 8 years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and the ability to architect solutions using multiple services. Experience with government security compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST) and the ability to implement compliance strategies in cloud environments. Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and design patterns, as well as experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
