Internship in Quality & Process Improvement at Caterpillar Inc. Solar Turbines in San Diego, California. This entry-level internship offers exposure to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, information technology, and operations. The intern will analyze data to identify trends and root causes, assist with process mapping and documentation of standard work, develop dashboards and visual management tools, and prepare research reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership. Qualifications include currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Business Analytics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Quality Management, or a related field; GPA of 2.8 or higher preferred. Preferred qualifications include prior internships or leadership experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, root cause corrective action, process mapping, and data-driven decision-making; proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Minitab, JMP, or similar tools. Pay Range: $22.50 - $40.25 per hour. This position is on-site five days a week in San Diego, California. Visa sponsorship is not available. Posting Dates: July 23, 2026 - December 30, 2026.
