About the role
HELPLINE, part of Everience, is seeking a seasoned Backend Java Developer to join its Lyon office in the Rhône-Alpes region. HELPLINE specializes in IT outsourcing for user support and delivers an augmented employee experience through AI, combining human expertise with advanced technology. The Lyon agency, established in 2019, covers the Rhône-Alpes region and serves clients such as EM Lyon, SNCF, and SUEZ.
Responsibilities
Qualifications: Profile:
- Participate in technical design discussions with the tech lead and development team
- Develop and execute unit tests for changes, following the defined design
- Adhere to company development standards
- Work autonomously and take ownership of tasks
- Collaborate with the agile technical lead on design tasks
- Analyze existing systems to identify gaps and propose solutions to incidents and malfunctions
- Update technical and functional documentation as needed
- Identify improvement areas and define corrective actions
- Propose and implement solutions to improve code quality, reliability, and efficiency
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and refinement sessions across the full product lifecycle (exploration, build, deploy)
- Java 17+ (Java 11 minimum acceptable)
- Spring Boot
- REST APIs
- Maven or Gradle
- Git and GitLab CI/CD
- JUnit and Mockito
- SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
- IntelliJ IDEA
- Docker (nice to have)
- Backend Java Developer with 5–8 years of experience
- Experience on enterprise-scale projects (Banking, Insurance, Finance or large accounts)
- Experience in Agile Scrum / SAFe
- Comfortable working on mis
