FundApps is looking for a Mid-Level Back End Engineer to join its London-based Engineering team. You will own parts of our backend stack and help deliver software that processes petabytes-scale data with low latency, used by large investment managers across the globe. We recently migrated data services to AWS, moved to Auth0 for authentication, and modernized the frontend to React, reflecting our investment in a modern, scalable architecture. The ideal candidate enjoys ownership, shipping code frequently, and thrives in a fast-growing, customer-focused environment. You should be comfortable with C#, Java, or Python and have experience with TDD, CI/CD, and architecture. Our technology stack includes C# on the back end, PostgreSQL and AWS services (Aurora, DynamoDB, S3), Terraform, Fargate, Lambdas, Step Functions, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, and frontend React/TypeScript. We operate with Kanban-inspired processes, value continuous improvement, and emphasize transparency and collaboration. We offer a hybrid work model: three days per week in our London office for the first six months, then at least two days per week in the office, along with a range of wellbeing and growth benefits.
