CARFAX's Banking & Insurance Group (BIG) is seeking an Associate Software Engineer in Gdansk, Poland, for a hybrid role. You will contribute to the development of cloud API-based products and microservices, learn and apply infrastructure as code concepts, and help integrate backend and cloud-based internal services to deliver optimal customer experiences. Work in an agile environment with guidance from senior engineers, practicing test-driven development and continuous integration. You will build web applications aimed at drivers and car owners in the United States with accessible user interfaces, and evaluate tools to meet team requirements. Qualifications include at least 1 year of professional experience with Java or another JVM language, knowledge of the Spring Framework, microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and AWS with IaC concepts. Preferred additional qualifications include DevOps experience (CI/CD, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB), a CS-related bachelor’s degree, strong English, and openness to code reviews.
