This hybrid position focuses on daily and monthly Fixed Assets accounting, including acquisitions, capitalization, transfers, disposals, and retirements; fixed asset reconciliations; depreciation calculations and impairment where applicable; and support for month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves internal controls, process improvements, and collaboration with METRO Group entities to ensure accurate asset records and timely service delivery. Responsibilities include maintaining asset records, investigating discrepancies with auditors, updating standard operating procedures, and supporting training and knowledge-sharing within the team. Qualifications include previous experience in accounting with emphasis on Fixed Assets, knowledge of fixed asset processes (capitalization, depreciation, transfers, disposals), experience with SAP or other ERPs, strong MS Excel skills, and excellent organizational and time-management abilities in a changing environment.
