AI Legal Program Manager
Block, Inc. is seeking an AI Legal Program Manager to navigate the legal and regulatory landscape of our AI initiatives. You will partner with legal, engineering, product, and compliance teams to develop frameworks that enable responsible AI innovation while ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management across our AI products and services.
Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Drive the development and implementation of AI legal and compliance frameworks, including policies for model development, deployment, and monitoring that align with emerging AI regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews of AI project initiatives to identify legal risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with regulations while enabling innovation.
- Develop and maintain AI governance documentation, including model cards, algorithmic impact assessments, training data compliance records, and legal risk assessments.
- Partner with engineering teams to implement legally compliant AI development practices, including requirements for transparency, fairness, and accountability.
- Create and maintain processes for AI incident response, model monitoring, and legal compliance validation.
- Build scalable processes for AI legal reviews across various stakeholders.
- 5+ years of directly related experience in technical program management, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML initiatives.
- Strong understanding of emerging AI regulations (EU AI Act, state AI laws, etc.) and their practical implementation.
- Experience developing legal framework
