As the central captain of the Data Engineering function, you will lead, coach, and mentor a squad of data engineers, building and operating data services and platforms (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and related components) to ensure the business has trusted data for analytics, reporting, and regulatory outputs. You will oversee the entire data supply chain from design to production, ensuring scalability, performance, and adherence to SLAs, while safeguarding data quality and consistency. You will translate complex business requirements into robust technical specifications and concrete delivery plans, partnering with Product Managers, Architects, and stakeholders to align data engineering practices with group standards, security, and compliance. You will drive automation, optimization, and innovation to improve performance and cost efficiency, contribute to the Data Department's roadmap, and support strategic initiatives. Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, IT, or a related quantitative field, 5+ years of leadership experience on large-scale data projects, and hands-on experience with AWS Redshift, S3, EMR, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, Iceberg, and Hudi. Strong ETL/ELT skills, proficiency with analytics/time-series technologies (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch), and programming in Java, Scala, or Python are required, along with experience in Linux, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-first
