Ripple is building a world where value moves as fluidly as information. We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Financial Core team, the platform layer that powers Ripple’s global custodian network. In this role, you will develop backend services and internal tools that automate settlement, funding, and liquidity management across fiat rails and crypto custody. You will work closely with Product Ops and Product to translate manual financial tasks into dependable, auditable, and automated software, and you will contribute across the stack—from REST API handlers and database migrations to React UI components. You will participate in on-call rotations and maintain production reliability for real-time money movement. You will write well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to design discussions with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience shipping production software, experience with Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript, and familiarity with Spring Boot, Postgres, and React. Prior experience with financial systems, payments, or automation workflows is a plus, as is experience deploying agentic, closed-loop automation. This role is based in San Francisco, CA, United States, and on a hybrid schedule. For positions based in California, the base salary range is $140,000 - $170,000 USD.
