Speechify is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Core Experiences Team. This role focuses on building and maintaining foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. You will collaborate with Product Teams to scope projects, find ways to reduce scope for faster customer feedback, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDKs while considering UX and integration tradeoffs. Responsibilities include optimizing existing functionality to enable faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms, and shipping cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin. The ideal candidate values systems thinking, speed, focus, and collaboration with designers, marketers, and PMs. Preferred Tech Stack: Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience is OK but the role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform). Prior experience with GCP is a plus. This is a remote role (Remote OK) with location based in New Orleans, United States.
