Sony Music Entertainment’s Product, Design, Engineering and Global Operations (PDEGO) organization is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our London office. You will help build and evolve platforms that power critical areas of our global business and support artists, songwriters, labels, and partners around the world. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software across the full application stack; translating complex business requirements into reliable technical solutions; writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code; participating in architecture discussions and modernization initiatives; designing APIs and services; improving performance, observability, scalability, and operational excellence; mentoring junior engineers; and collaborating with engineering leadership to establish best practices. You should have 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, experience with distributed systems, Python and JavaScript, frontend experience with TypeScript and React, and familiarity with databases (MySQL, Snowflake, Neo4j, Kafka, OpenSearch or similar), RESTful APIs and AWS, testing, and Agile development. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience with financial/ERP/payments/data-intensive systems, data modeling, and leading technical initiatives without direct people management. This is an on-site role in London.
