We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Team Lead to join Zepz's security team. In this remote, UK-based role, you will lead a team of security engineers, drive automation initiatives to optimize processes, and provide expert technical guidance during security incidents. You will protect our customer-facing applications and infrastructure, as well as internal systems, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with low hierarchy and high ownership. Responsibilities include identifying opportunities to automate repetitive tasks within security run books, designing and maintaining automated security workflows, and collaborating with security engineers to integrate automation into existing processes and systems. You will lead technical security incident response efforts, act as an escalation point for complex issues, develop and maintain incident response playbooks, and ensure alignment with industry best practices. You will set objectives and key results (OKRs) for the security operations team, monitor performance, provide feedback, and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture. You will monitor security tools, lead threat hunts, analyze logs and alerts, and collaborate with other security teams to implement effective controls. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in security operations, a proven track record in incident response leadership, strong automation experience (SOAR, Python, PowerShell), and experience managing and developing a security team.
