DocuSign is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (Search AI) to architect and scale the Search & Data Platform as part of the Intelligent Agreement Management initiative. You will serve as the technical architect behind the discovery engine powering the world’s most critical agreements, designing fault-tolerant, high-throughput search systems using microservices (primarily C#/.NET or Java) and providing technical direction to the team. You will lead the implementation and optimization of search clusters to deliver sub-second query performance across petabytes of data with enterprise-grade security and reliability. You will drive the strategic roadmap for the search infrastructure to ensure scalability and resilience, and collaborate with product and engineering leadership to turn discovery capabilities into a competitive advantage. As a matrix leader, you will promote engineering best practices, mentor experienced engineers, and work across time zones and geographies on large cross-functional programs. The role is hybrid with in-office time required (minimum 2 days per week) at a U.S. location.
