Thatch is seeking a People Operations Generalist to support onboarding, HR processes, and employee records for our growing, fully distributed team in the United States. You will be a key point of contact for employees, partnering with recruiters, hiring managers, and the broader People team to ensure every interaction is smooth, thoughtful, and engaging. From onboarding to ongoing HR tasks, you will help keep our people operations running efficiently. Primary responsibilities include owning the onboarding program from pre-boarding logistics and systems administration through day‑1 onboarding sessions; maintaining accurate HR records; welcoming new hires and managing the onboarding calendar; completing employee verifications and E-Verify and maintaining files; managing benefits and 401(k) administration and supporting employees through changes; and collaborating with the Head of People on special projects. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in HR, People Ops, or related administrative roles, strong organizational and communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and good judgement. Experience with Rippling or other HRIS tools is a plus, as is a people-first mindset and excellent customer service.
