ADTRAN is seeking an NPI-LCE Test Engineer to lead end-to-end manufacturing test strategy and ensure product quality for NPI-LCE devices in Meiningen, Germany or Shenzhen, China. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom, datacom, and optical device design, and experience with automation tools such as NI TestStand and Python. Responsibilities include architecting test concepts for WDM telecom devices with input from R&D, NPI, and Production; designing and documenting the test hardware and software required to meet specifications; supporting existing test solutions in manufacturing; developing complex algorithms for calibrating optical devices; defining test processes with R&D and production teams; creating test steps, drivers, and sequences for automation; transferring test solutions to contract manufacturers; and implementing ECOs and continuous improvements to improve quality while reducing test costs.
