Join N26 as a Junior Backend Engineer in the Customer Identity team in Barcelona. In this hybrid role, you will help design and evolve the identity verification stack that powers customer onboarding, including KYC orchestration, provider integrations (video identification, document verification, biometric screening), and the regulatory checks that uphold AML, KYC, and GDPR compliance across multiple European markets. You will work during an architectural modernization phase to consolidate the provider integration layer, strengthen the orchestration service, and align domain ownership, giving engineers meaningful work that directly impacts new customers. You will collaborate with your Tech Lead and cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software in a modern cloud environment, and you may mentor junior teammates by upholding code quality through pull requests and coaching. Stay current with technology trends and share findings during internal Get Stuff Done days. You will contribute to high technical standards across the product and act with a strong bias for action and security.
