Company Overview Our client is a small holding group that owns three businesses: a software company used by property managers to run inspections, and two service businesses in inspections and property management. The group plans to add more companies over time. Each company keeps its own books, and a bookkeeper handles day-to-day entries. The group seeks one finance leader to oversee the books across all entities and provide clear, timely insights to the CEO and investors.

Role and Responsibilities - Serve as the finance lead for the group across all companies, reporting to the CEO. - Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for each company and the group; review the bookkeeper's work and own the month-end close and reconciliations. - Present results to the CEO and investors; ensure readiness for tax filing and keep payroll and sales tax on schedule. - Track cash, payables, and receivables; build budgets; provide a finance view on spending and new initiatives; help set up new companies. - Improve finance processes and controls; set up the books when a new company joins the group.

You Bring - Experience as a finance manager, controller, senior accountant, or similar, ideally at a small or growing company. - Experience preparing and presenting financials to owners, a CEO, investors, or a board. - Budgeting or financial planning that informed business decisions; experience getting books ready for tax filing. - Sufficient month-end close and reconciliations experience to review a bookkeeper's work confidently. - Bonus points: CPA license; experience handling multiple e
