Staff Software Engineer, Identity & Access Management is a senior backend engineering role for a partner company in the United States. You will design, develop, and scale identity and access management capabilities across applications, with a focus on authentication, authorization, and entitlement systems. You will act as a technical leader, shaping architecture, improving platform reliability, and enabling engineering teams through scalable self-service solutions. Responsibilities include designing and evolving identity platforms covering user management, authentication, authorization, and lifecycle management. Develop scalable authorization models using RBAC, ABAC, and ReBAC to control access across systems. Build and enhance authentication systems, including integrations with identity providers and enterprise single sign-on workflows. Create and maintain user lifecycle management capabilities, including provisioning and deprovisioning and identity data management. Partner with security teams to ensure platforms are secure by design and aligned with SOC 2 and GDPR requirements. Develop APIs and platform services that empower engineering teams to securely consume identity and access capabilities. Define technical roadmaps, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive initiatives from planning through delivery.
