Maincode is building Matilda, an Australian-made AI platform. Most of the team is based in Melbourne, and we are expanding with a Seattle office. In Seattle, Washington, United States, we are hiring engineers to work on hard problems with a small team, flat hierarchy, high autonomy, and full ownership over what you build. Matilda is already running across app, web, CLI, and desktop, deployed on our own cluster. We need engineers to develop new features, improve products, speed up inference, and sharpen tooling. The team is about a dozen people, so there is no ticket queue—you see what matters, you build it, and it goes into production that week. You should be exceptional and proactive, preferring to tackle problems rather than follow a spec. There is no politics, just engineering.
