You will provide strategic financial leadership, forecasting, budgeting, and operational guidance to support school leaders, boards, and finance teams in strengthening financial sustainability and student outcomes.

Responsibilities

Serve as outsourced CFO for assigned schools, advising on financial strategy, budgeting, policies, and long-term planning.
Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic models aligned with school goals.
Present financial insights to finance committees and boards.
Analyze financial data, identify challenges, and propose practical solutions tailored to each school.
Build strong relationships with school leaders and proactively identify opportunities to improve performance.
Support school finance processes by collaborating with internal specialists and analysts.
Provide informal guidance and development support to finance team members.
Contribute to improvement of finance services, tools, and best practices.
Balance strategic leadership with hands-on accounting, reporting, and operational problem-solving.
Adapt financial strategies to the needs of schools at different growth stages.

Requirements

10-15 years of experience in school finance or equivalent; CPA certification or audit leadership is a plus.
Experience leading or contributing to a school finance function (CFO/Director of Finance).
