Milestone Systems is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux & Platform) to join our team in Barcelona, Spain, in hybrid working mode. This is a hands-on role where you will design and build a turnkey on-prem software appliance for use in on-premises, hybrid, and air-gapped environments, with a focus on reliability, automation, lifecycle management, and operational simplicity. The platform leverages Kubernetes as part of the broader stack, but this role is Linux- and systems-first. You will own architecture, quality, and engineering standards, and contribute to backend services and APIs (REST, gRPC, OpenAPI). Responsibilities include designing install, upgrade, rollback, and recovery workflows, creating automation and guardrails that simplify operations, improving observability and resiliency, supporting air-gapped deployments, and collaborating with product, support, and customer-facing teams. You will help shape engineering practices and technical direction.
