The Help Desk I will troubleshoot end-user hardware, software, and networking problems in a Windows and Linux environment, respond to requests via telephone, email, and the ticketing system, and assist users in person with troubleshooting hardware and software setup and installation. Responsibilities include troubleshooting end-user hardware, software, and networking issues; researching and resolving technical problems; documenting and tracking tickets to ensure timely resolutions; escalating unresolved issues to higher tiers; installing and configuring workstation software and printers; and providing on-call support one Saturday per month. The position requires working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, basic networking, and familiarity with Linux (knowledge of Samba, Cups, Apache, SSH is a plus). Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential. A minimum of 1 year of hands-on technical experience is required; background check and reliable transportation are required. Certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP are preferred; Spanish language skills are a plus. This is a full-time on-site shift either 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with travel based on operational needs.
