Lead Data Analyst – FinCrime Operations

Wise is seeking a Lead Data Analyst who is passionate about Money Without Borders to partner with FinCrime operations and drive data-driven decisions that support our fast-growing product. In this individual contributor role, you will lead analytics across operations—from helping customers, to screening for criminal activity, to verifying customer identities at scale. You’ll collaborate closely with operational leads, product managers, designers, and engineers to translate insights into real-world improvements for our customers.

Lead Data Analyst – FinCrime Operations

Wise is seeking a Lead Data Analyst who is passionate about Money Without Borders to partner with FinCrime operations and drive data-driven decisions that support our fast-growing product. In this individual contributor role, you will lead analytics across operations—from helping customers, to screening for criminal activity, to verifying customer identities at scale. You’ll collaborate closely with operational leads, product managers, designers, and engineers to translate insights into real-world improvements for our customers.

Key responsibilities: - Analytical capacity planning and forecasting: build and refine analytical models for strategic capacity planning and own forecasting aligned with growth and operational demands. - Data pipeline ownership: own data pipelines to maintain and improve data flow, ensuring reliability and accuracy. - Predictive modeling and cause-and-effect analysis: develop models to predict outcomes and identify drivers to optimize processes and inform strategic planning. - Strategic support and analysis: provide insights to assess the operational health of FinCrime functions, conduct in-depth cost analysis, and analyze operational metrics (including quality) to understand impacts on customer experiences. - Performance tracking and initiative optimization: monitor the performance of key initiatives and identify optimization opportunities. - KPI implementation and target setting: lead the development of the operations KPI tree and target-setting framework, integr
