Metro Security is seeking an Apprentice Security Engineer to train alongside experienced engineers in installing, maintaining and fault-finding on access control, video surveillance and intruder alarm systems. This on-site apprenticeship is based in Greater London and Watford, United Kingdom and is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and problem solving. The role offers hands-on learning with real systems and progression opportunities. Entry requirements include a driving licence, maths and English proficiency, the ability to pass an enhanced DBS check, and being from the Essex area. Training is provided by Skills for Security with block release at our Dagenham centre: one week every eight weeks, Tuesday to Friday. You will work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll train hands-on, learn from industry experts, complete a range of tasks and projects, and build evidence to support your learning. Annual assessments are conducted at the centre. Your employer supports you on site as you focus on training and progression.
