Assistant Project Manager is needed to support the execution of custom furniture and window treatments for the trade. This on-site role is based in New York, New York, United States and requires presence in the office five days a week (Long Island City preferred). The successful candidate will assist the Director of Project Management and the President in managing projects from order intake through completion, and will create and maintain detailed project timelines, track milestones and deliverables, prepare and process work orders, and manage fabric and materials flow. You will handle client communication throughout the project, organize and maintain accurate project files and approvals, and assist with invoicing and payments. In collaboration with designers, vendors, and internal teams, you will provide clear project updates and production status. You will work with the President to manage workroom flow, anticipate production needs, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines. Additional responsibilities include coordinating deliveries, installations, and pickups, tracking incoming materials, and supporting scheduling with clients and installers. The position requires 2+ years of experience in project coordination, design operations, or workroom production within construction or interiors, and familiarity with custom furniture, upholstery, drapery, or soft goods production is a strong plus.
