Overview The Information Technology team designs, builds, operates, and maintains infrastructure in support of INIT software solutions deployed for transit agency customers in major metropolitan areas.
Position Summary INIT seeks a Senior IT Security Engineer to drive security controls, security operations, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) activities across INIT's internal infrastructure and customer-facing transit technology deployments. The role contributes to security architecture, security operations, and the control framework aligned with PCI DSS, SOC 2, and ISO 27001, working with the IT Security Administration, IT Operations, and IT Systems Engineering teams, and reporting to the Director of IT.
Key Responsibilities - Security Strategy: establish security vision and roadmaps with the Director of IT; direct the selection and lifecycle of security tools, architectures, and infrastructure security direction; establish identity, access, and security hardening standards; evaluate security requirements and architecture for customer projects; identify strategic trends; evaluate secur
