Steffes is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide support, guidance, and leadership in quality assurance, quality control, and quality improvement to position Steffes as the company of choice. This role involves evaluating procedures, processes, standards, and specifications and working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to create, revise, maintain, and improve production and administrative systems related to product quality and Steffes’ Quality Management System (QMS). Key responsibilities include leading projects related to quality assurance, quality control, and quality improvement; providing data analysis, defining project scope, implementing and reporting results, and estimating costs. The role requires reading, understanding, and communicating information pertaining to customer drawings, tolerances, and specifications; developing and maintaining production acceptance criteria; conducting in-process, final, and receiving inspections (backing up Quality Technicians as needed). It also involves creating and documenting inspection reports including Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIRs) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAPs); facilitating root cause analysis with key stakeholders and implementing corrective actions for nonconformances; developing internal systems and tools to promote quality excellence; creating calibration frameworks for tools and devices, including determining verification intervals; advising on fixture design through dime
