Manufacturing HR Business Partner is a strategic HR leader embedded in our automotive manufacturing plants and parts depots. This on-site role supports the hourly and salaried workforce and partners with plant leadership to drive business objectives through comprehensive HR initiatives on the production floor, ensuring compliance and fostering a high-performance culture. Responsibilities include serving as a trusted advisor on people strategy, designing talent management and workforce transformation programs, leveraging HR analytics to forecast needs, driving labor relations and DEI initiatives, and leading HR operations (payroll, attendance, leaves, HRIS, safety) while building strong external community relationships. External relations and community stewardship, along with effective union engagement and dispute resolution, are key components of this role. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field with 2–4 years of manufacturing HR experience; PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred. On-site presence is required; the role involves time on the plant floor and occasional light lifting. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 am–8:00 pm. Salary range: $86,600–$144,900. Location: Chicago Heights, Illinois, United States.
