DENSO is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Production Engineering department. The Production Engineering Manager will oversee daily administration and management of department staff, provide direction for department output, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include: - Assign resources and set priorities to meet KPIs - Mentor and train associates to develop talent - Coordinate with other departments to clear obstacles and achieve goals - Lead engineering activities to troubleshoot production processes, identify root causes, and implement countermeasures to improve quality, productivity, and safety - Develop and implement line modifications, devices, fixtures, and processes for continuous improvement and cost reduction - Provide technical support to production to resolve quality, productivity, and safety issues - Investigate and create specifications for improvement ideas and coordinate design and installation - Originate equipment and parts specifications and manage purchases to support production for current and new products - Collaborate on the production of new products and engineering changes - Review machine configurations and assist in setup and programming - Review drawings and support prototypes and builds - Lead process improvement initiatives focused on productivity and scrap reduction - Facilitate meetings and prepare reports on daily production activities - Develop specifications for new processes and machines, conduct feasibility studies, and ensure product quality - Maintain alignment with corporate culture and
