The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking a Part-Time HR Generalist to manage a broad range of human resources responsibilities with a strong emphasis on leave administration, disability management, and workers’ compensation coordination. This role serves as a primary contact for employees, managers, payroll, and third-party vendors to ensure leaves and workers’ compensation cases are handled accurately and efficiently. It also supports employee engagement initiatives and various HR projects across the organization. This is a hybrid position; most work can be completed remotely, but regular in-office attendance is expected and occasional work at other sites may be required. Key responsibilities include: managing leaves of absence (FMLA, PFML), disability, and other protected and non-protected leaves; coordinating with employees, managers, payroll, HR, and vendors to ensure timely communication and effective case management; tracking leave and workers’ compensation cases from initiation to return-to-work with all required documentation and deadlines; maintaining accurate HRIS records in UKG and ensuring payroll during leaves; monitoring return-to-work dates, work restrictions, accommodations, and transitional duties; assisting managers in understanding leave and workers’ compensation processes to ensure compliance with agency policies and applicable laws; coordinating workers’ compensation claims administration, including incident reporting, claim follow-up, vendor communication, and return-to-work activities; providing coverage in UKG, workers’ comp, and LOA during vacations
