Location and travel This is a remote role in the United States with occasional travel to districts (5-10%), and regular onsite time with districts as needed.

What you’ll own - Customer-embedded prototyping with 3-5 district partners, building product hypotheses from real data - Decide which prototypes graduate into the core platform, which stay sandboxed, and which sunset - Collaborate with the Senior Director of Product Management and Director of Customer Success as peers - Prototypes that produce real revenue opportunities, not just demos - A small set of high-stakes new product directions under NDA

What you’ll be working on in the first year - 2-3 customer-validated prototypes built with named district partners - A working operating model for our forward-deployed practice

What we are looking for - 10+ years of engineering experience with significant customer-embedded work - Ability to convert demos into recurring revenue and explain the impact - Experience retiring prototypes when learning is complete - Comfortable shipping throwaway code for learning, not integrating into core systems prematurely - Experience using Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar in production - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write decision memos
