You will lead the technical design of the Fuchsia USB subsystem, focusing on system-level power management and data throughput optimizations, with emphasis on USB-C Power Delivery negotiations and USB 3.x metrics. Leverage infrastructure labs and hardware-in-the-loop testing to maximize driver reliability and throughput, and collaborate with kernel, product, and hardware teams to align hardware integration with roadmaps. Mentor team members and define best practices for driver development and hardware-software integration. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; 8 years of software development; 5 years testing and launching software products; 5 years working with embedded operating systems; 3 years of software design and architecture; experience with Linux device drivers. Preferred: experience reading hardware spec sheets; contributing to open-source Linux USB stack; experience with the DesignWare Controller (dwc) stack; embedded development in Linux or other OS; deep knowledge of USB specifications. Compensation: US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
