Pennoni is seeking a Construction Surveying Project Manager to join our team in the Hampton Roads, Virginia office on a full-time, direct basis. This role will support a variety of public and private site development projects, handling construction stakeouts, field documentation, and reporting. Responsibilities include communicating directly with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, and site superintendents on construction layout projects; interpreting site development plans and performing stakeout computations; conducting post-stakeout computations and compiling stakeout sketches; scheduling and coordinating field staff on multiple construction layout projects in a fast-paced environment; ensuring field and office quality control and quality assurance procedures; maintaining organized file management for digital drawings, reports, and related documents; performing quantity takeoffs for cost estimates and proposals, and developing cost estimates and technical reports and proposals for construction surveying; preparing and/or reviewing as-built drawings. Required attributes include a minimum of 5 years’ surveying experience with at least 1 year in Construction Surveying Project Manager; a proven track record of successful survey project management; and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Preferred attributes include proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson surveying platforms, familiarity with Trimble hardware and software, and excellent verbal and written communication skills (MS Word & Excel).
