Environmental Restoration Project Manager

Salas O’Brien is an employee-owned engineering and professional services firm focused on achieving impact for our clients, our team, and the world. We are seeking an Environmental Restoration Project Manager to support the Federal Environmental Consulting Services business line and oversee a range of environmental projects for federal, state, and municipal clients, with primary on-site responsibilities at Joint Base San Antonio (Fort Sam Houston) in San Antonio, Texas, while offering some remote work flexibility.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage environmental remediation projects from conception to completion, maintaining regular communication with stakeholders.
Monitor timelines, budgets, and resources to achieve project goals.
Conduct site assessments, analyze data, and recommend solutions to environmental hazards.
Provide guidance to remediation teams and ensure regulatory compliance (CERCLA, RCRA, etc.).
Perform programmatic support to ensure proper identification of investigations, accurate costing, and milestone tracking.
Review technical documents, perform site investigations, and support reporting and QA/QC.
Prepare technical reports and health and safety plans; coordinate work plans and sampling/analysis plans.
Conduct environmental site visits across the United States; perform field sampling (soil, groundwater, surface water, air).
Coordinate field activities with property/facility owners/operators in a professional manner.
