Speechify is looking for a Software Engineer for Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to support model-training data by building and operating data ingestion pipelines. We can build high-quality datasets at petabyte scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research. This is a fully remote role based in Geneva, Switzerland.
Speechify is looking for a Software Engineer for Data Infrastructure & Acquisition to support model-training data by building and operating data ingestion pipelines. We can build high-quality datasets at petabyte scale and low cost through a tight integration of infrastructure, engineering, and research. This is a fully remote role based in Geneva, Switzerland.
What you’ll do: - Find and ingest new audio data into our ingestion pipeline - Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for ingestion, currently on Google Cloud Platform and managed with Terraform - Collaborate with data scientists to improve cost, throughput, and data quality for larger-scale models - Help define the AI Team’s dataset roadmap with the AI Team and Speechify leadership - Communicate effectively with team members across the company
What we’re looking for: - BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field - 5+ years of industry software development experience - Proficiency with Bash and Python in Linux - Proficiency with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code; experience with at least one major Cloud Provider (GCP) - Experience with web crawlers and large-scale data processing is a plus - Strong written and verbal communication skills
