UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Technical Support Specialist I to provide in-depth end-user computing support to faculty and staff, including desktop hardware/software, printers, copiers, scanners, audio-visual equipment, and mobile devices. The role ensures compliance with UT Southwestern Information Security requirements and is based on-site in the hospital environment that operates 24/7/365. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with after-hours coverage and rotating holidays as needed. Responsibilities include supporting the full end-user computing experience, diagnosing and repairing routine problems, performing preventative maintenance and lifecycle management of end-user devices, deploying and decommissioning assets, providing after-hours support on a rotating basis, and other duties as assigned. Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent with two years of related experience (related coursework may substitute on a year-for-year basis); preferred qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field. If operating a University-owned vehicle, a valid Texas driver’s license and related checks/training are required.
